In my area there are 3 places that come to mind for carp fishing. Warden Lake in Hardy County is where the state record grass carp was caught. Fort Ashby Reservoir in Mineral County has a good population of Carp, and my swim is on The South Branch of the Potomac River in Hampshire County.

I've caught several nice commons and a few mirrors from the South Branch.

Where do you fish on the Branch.

I'm glad to hear there are some mirrors in the South branch. I've never caught one.

I rent a riverlot just downriver of Romney bridge.

That's not too far up river from me. Never fished there though.

In my area lakes - Stonewall Jackson, Stonecoal have monsters
Stonewall has the trained carp at the dock. They swarm at dog food.

I catch more cats at Tygart Lake while fishing for carp.

Buckhannon and Tygart Valley rivers have some good carp.

I lived in Wheeling for a few years and caught some real monsters in Wheeling Creek.

Those are the ones I know (in addition to S. Branch of the Potomac. Wonder when the first snakehead will be caught there.
