I am trying a new technique using my dehydrator and hot dogs. Raw and even cooked hot dogs come off the hook after a few hits. I found that putting the diced up dogs in the dehydator for a few hours toughens them up nicely.
I use hot dogs mostly while fishing with my Cub Scouts and other kids. The kids are happy catching sunnies, bullheads or anything else that swims. It was a real pain having to rebait after every nibble and snag. I have not used the new stuff with the kids yet. I have made a few trial runs on my own to see if the fish will go along with the plan. They seem to like the dogs.
Anyone else tried this method?
