  1. Do you know much about Chantry park.. I hear good and bad things! Mate caught a lovely bream from there yesterday, ive seen pictures off a 32lb carp from there last summer, apparently a 9lb tench was caught recently. But i hear that is being fished by dead lines and theft/violence so im not sure!
  2. I see that Alton has been throwing up a few suprises recently.. Nice to see some skimmers go in but need another 10,000 atleast with a water that size! Kirton has been fishing really with silver nets of 40 pounds, plently of carp coming out too! Me and my mate went to Akenham Hall at the weekend, wasn't massively impressed with the place but he did land a 3lb 10 Perch!
  3. Appreciate that information! Is there many people from Ipswich or suffolk on this site as i dont see much chat? Yeah my dad slates GAPS waters saying there a thing of the past and how he dreams about the old days on Bramford stretch after dog roach. Me and my dad have fished Alton last year and got a few pound and half roach, hopefully the new stocking plan can make Alton great again. SWP big lake though holds some lovely roach! I think i may just have to stick to my trusty kirton hall or my occasional visit to Sink Pits!
  4. Oh really! Mates used to go down there, loads of tiny tench apparently! Been asked to go Kates Hill this weekend so ill give that a go! Heard there is a golden orfe in the first pond, so that may be my target for the session!
  5. Hahaha! May have to have a look at the weekend! Ever fished the ballast pit off bramford road?
  6. Hello, Ive seen you comment on a few bits of ipswich chat, any chance you can comment on my other posts and get them lively? How did you manage to walk around these lakes, over the old army bridge? Reckon it would be worth a go still?
  7. ┬ĚReport post Hello, New to this site guys! But if there is any ipswich fisherman on this site with tuns of info, Please comment on my recent topic of Ipswich Fishing (Hidden Gems)
