I can't see any faults with your base mix; nutrition and  attraction are covered.
Krill may be an issue, not because it is a bad ingredient, but because it can be very light and make baits float

While I do carp fish mostly I do fish for other fish at times, often pike in the winter, chub on floating baits in the summer and the occasional tench, roach or silver fish session.
I would never sell any of my gear, as I enjoy it all.
Like others, I wish I had not sold my bass rods, although I might push a marker or spod rod into use...

This one is branded JAXON, and instructions are in polish, so yeah, highly unclear. The local tackle shop has a small shelf of mixed angling stuff; some hooks, floats, sinkers and feeders, three kinds of groundbait, and the occasional bag of boilies and other oddballs. The shopkeeper is mostly into fly fishing, and some perch, so he has the section under the premise "some people buy angling stuff, they probably know what they're looking for".
Agreed. I've been fishing for thirty-odd years, but mainly spinning and some fly fishing, only got into coarse fishing a year ago, so it's still a whole new playground.
Also, angling in general is a quite small niche in Sweden. Back here it's the stone age, and two of our shops beginning to offer maggots by the pint is this year's sensation.

    Armour mesh.
Used to try to prevent crayfish and smaller fish nibbling bait away, although I have found crayfish can still get through it. Or you can use it to make a nice parcel of particles like hemp or sweetcorn for bait.
Wrap it round your boilies, or particles, tie it off with a twist of 'thread', either mono, dental floss and lighter tag and blob the end.

Chick peas are a good bait. Catapult fairly well.
You don't want them too soft, just soaked for 24hour, then boil til if you squeeze they split. You can use tinned as well.
If you want to flavour or colour them, add the flavour in while soaking, go with a spice flavour like cinnamon, aniseed or 5drops of is-eugenol.

Once I have made the balls, I take the softest, and add a little more base mix and work it in before rolling into sausages. While you can use a bait gun, I prefer a table as I found with homemade baits, the glossy finish rolls better on the Rolaball, and some gunned baits can float.

From the sausages, I then put them onto the Rolaball,  roll into balls, and then drop them into some base mix to stop them sticking together while boiling.
I boil these baits for 1minute 30seconds, before tipping them onto a tea towel to dry. Once dry they can be bagged and frozen, or totally air dried.

Tigers go through the gut in humans, dogs and fish exactly as they were swallowed.
If the tiger nut was crushed, chewed in the teeth, pieces come out. If they were swallowed whole, that is how they come out in the excrement.
It may be fibre, but the actual legume itself is pretty much indigestible; hence why you do not want or need very many.
In fact exactly the same as peanuts.
The 'by-product' of tiger nut or peanut flour provides more useable nutrition.

Not really fill a carp up, it goes in one end, and straight through while continuing to eat.
Tigers are also not particularly good for the carp, the only nutrition they can get from them is the surface, once they are eaten, either chewed, crunched or whole, swallowed, they come out exactly as they go in. Obviously most tigers are crunched and broken in the pharyngeal teeth.

Tigers can be an addictive food, carp will eat almost nothing else if they are baited in large quantities, hence mixing up with hemp.
For one litre tub of hemp, I have a handful of tigers in there.

A single tiger on the hair, and a 5 tiger stringer works

Fake baits are banned on some waters; cork balls, foam, plastic baits etc.
In a pop-up however, is a grey area.

It may be just my personal experience, but in the colder weather, I seem to catch more commons than mirrors.

I read that commons, due to a genetic difference have higher levels of haemoglobin in their blood which means they have the highest blood oxygen levels compared to other strains, leathers especially. As oxygen is essential to digestion, this may allow them to feed and digest more effectively in colder water, yet cold water has the highest levels of dissolved oxygen content, which would suggest that oxygen is readily available, so it may make no difference at all!! Could it be that certain carp can feed in colder water? Or does the venue and number of anglers on it have an affect? I.E. more bait and leads going in keeping the carp on the move, thus using more energy which needs replacing more?

Real leathers are a very rare beast indeed. In over 30years of fishing I have only ever caught 2 genuine totally nude carp.

15lb Gardner hydrotuff is about the equivalent of most 18lb lines, its bulletproof, I recently tried another line after 1 trip I missed it and it is back on my new reels, unless you are casting miles hydrotuff is a great line
Any Gardner line is better than any fox line, and that is a true fact 😂, 👍

I do use braid on my marker float rod, but to an Amnesia shock leader, and on my pike rods.

For shock leader to Amnesia it is an overhand knot in the Amnesia, and a uni knot through and up something like here:
    https://magazine.anglingactive.co.uk/the-best-shockleader-knot-sea-fishing/
I do lighter blob the knots to stop slippage.
Braid to braid is a pig, they can cut through each other, but again pike  fishing my braid is tied to a swivel, which unless you tie straight through on your rods (spod) you can't do on fishing rods.

I always play fish by back winding, so to me it is second nature to tighten the baitrunner spool and click the anti-reverse off.
