Is it the same as the Korum ruckbag ? If so they've ALL ripped Korum off ...

Tbh I tend to not put much emphasis on whether a boilie is fish meal based , nutty or Milky .

If you pick a well established proven bait which has done the business for many years and will probably continue to catch for many more then you can't go wrong and , to me , it matters not which type it is .

hahaha!! i am WELL surprised that no one has mentioned sticky maggots to you yonny, and that is a good indicator of how little edges get lost in the drive for market superiority. method below.
reference the mole hill loam, it is a brilliant attractor as the moles eat a lot of worms and poo them out as amino's, they then get shoved out into a molehill ergo 'a good additive'.

    sticky maggots with horlicks.

    1 pint maggots
    1 tub horlicks
    1 round bowl
    1 maggot riddle

put maggots in you riddle and shake for a few mins until they are clean (no maize flour)
pour your clean maggots into the bowl then wet your fingers and rub thru the maggots till they are nice and clean and shiney
shake over about 25% of your horlicks and shake bowl till all maggots have a fine dusting then set aside for 15 mins or so
after about 15 mins you will be able to ball a good handful and they will stick together like glue, smallish balls will even pult quite nicely.
these balls of sticky mags will break down on the lake bed as the horlicks dilutes and leave you with a nice spread of wriggly groundbait.

should look like this when you have finished.

there is even a relatively cheap version produced that is called stickymag but horlicks is cheaper and not so chemical

ESP . The green boilie pult is the nuts and the orange one for corn/particles .

Is it classed as bad angling to have the clutch loose when Carp fishing??? I never have it tight( if not on snags) but wouldn't say its super loose either. In all the years I'v carp fished I'v only ever lost one fish to snags and that was because it kitted on a leadclip into some reeds to my left without a beep If i had a boat I'd feed it but that wasn't allowed and has it was during my chemo I wasn't chancing a swim to free it, so cut the line and listened to it thrash about all night till morning when I'm sure ( and still hope ) it dragged the line free and out to open water or dumped the hook.

On Barnwell I fished up to the reeds with running rigs and untight clutch and all the takes came away to open water ,my mate fished the same spots with leadclips and all his takes tried to bury into them

Do you honestly think there is a difference between the two ? Can you not just let a front spool run & run ?
Really don't get the logic behind your thinking on this one Phil .

I have both . After using a free spool facility it took me ages to get used to my Big Pits .

When I used free spool the other week it felt strange too .

I prefer my big pits but yes , horses for courses I Spose and a place for everything .

I think beginners tend to get em cos they may seem easier as the fish is usually already hooked .
More experienced all round anglers maybe don't consider they need bait runners ?

Once again . Each to his own .

    Anyway
What happened to just buying something because you like it, I don't get this having to have a reason for every purchase, if you like it, buy it

The systems have the same point they do the same job .

My local water got really weedy last year , I was fishing over the back of it . I found on takes going away from me picking up the rod & letting the fish run just far enough away from the bank of weed ,then lifting into it far better than pulling them straight into the thick weed while there still low in the water . If they decided not to head for the weed didn't see the point in pulling them straight back towards it an encourage them to do so .
Seemed to work for me Phil .

    No leader no tubing .

Unless there's a chance of being cut off on obvious snags like mussels etc.Rig concealment is difficult enough without advertising you are there with a length of blooming great tubing

Thank you yes I was very interested indeed . As you can see I am also very polite .
Indeed I welcomed you to this wonderful forum

I know I'm on a hiding to nothing here but I think you may have misunderstood my post above.

Where did I say that I'm too lazy to make my own bait though ? Just curious ?

I don't get time to ROLL my own Boilies although I have been known to , albeit with a top quality basemix , but too lazy ?

As my intial post said , nobody , not even me , is having a pop at you but you HAVE answered my question for me though I had to read between the lines as even I am unable to work out the price of Boilies from the price of a packet of corner shop semolina .
The full recipe would be super if you don't mind posting it then I'll be able to "do the math"

The Moderaters here may even sticky it , that way we have a permanent record that donuts like me can refer to when I need advice , that would be nice
Oh BFB one more question . Since you are still at the testing stage and have yet to produce your Boilies in any quantity , have you been catching your fish with single hookbaits and if so how many fish ? Roughly , just a ball park figure , so I can work out your Bite to Boilies ratio/success rate ?
    I do love a statistic . I'm a bit like Sam Allardyce

So.... I decided that I was going to have a cheeky couple of hours backside before picking my son up this evening, best decision I have made re. Fishing for ages! Bait in the margins less than ten mins and I get a one toner [emoji16] I am now sat banks side with the biggest cheesiest grin going! Just had this little beaut at 13lb on the nose. So not only have I broken my blank but I've also had my first fish on the Nash h-gun sawn off that the other half got me for my birthday happy happy scott [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]
