  1. thanks for the info bud, i used to fish there over 10 years ago seems like a lifetime ago now , so have they moved the 40s and all the other carp to just to pine and canal then? yes i dont agree with barbel or chub going into still waters they need flowing rivers to survive they wont last long in a lake
  2. That sounds good , are there still a few lumps swimming around in there ? Be good to have a runs type water there
  3. Did you try them on -minus aswell , does get very windy there fished that same spot many a times

  5. An easy way to combat your delkims from bleeping when the wind picks up is to turn the sensitivity on the alarm down
  6. Used allot of Floro over the years started out with xline sunk well but found it really wire like and high memory not nice to use at all then moved onto Berkley trilene this again sunk well and was supple but behaved badly like it had adhd jumped off the spool from time to Time but was cheap and came in big spools 1100mtrs for the same price as others in 300mtrs Then I started using Korda kontour and tigerline in my eyes these are the 2 best out there at the moment both sink well behave well ,supple and cast well if I had to pick 1 out of the 2 it would be tiger line but there's not allot
  7. not used the mark 3,, but used a viper icon for a few years and to be honest it was very reliable and very well made, only gripe i had with it was battery life was not very good , but found batteries were very cheap on ebay so got a few spares, viper now do a newer model icon with a 2.4 g receiver now so range is improved aswell and battery life improved, if you looking for a boat the new icon is a good shout or the bsa lakstar or the deliverance baitboat there about the best uk boats imo waverunner and microcat are pants
  8. the best baitboat on the market is a carplounge RT4

  15. has anyone fished at lakeside fishery in the last few seasons, heard they had a fish kill ?
  16. that sound like bliss, my ideal place to go fishing, I would be taking a shot gun and riffle tho and my bivvy would be off the ground higher than any wolf could jump because they would test you at some point if your there for more than a day or so, kinda adds to the experience tho I suppose
  17. HI, the fox retreat is a very very good bivvy not seen or used the xl but seen and used the standard size and its prob best bivvy around the material is made of is best iv come across so far it has a nice soft feel to it and well made, has built in internal pockets in the bivvy for items, peak on front works well keeps the rain out, very big inside, another good point is if you buy the winterskin for the standard size it turns into a 2 man bivvy with extended porch and ground sheet
  18. Has anyone got any discount codes for Brittany ferries? im traveling in april any help much appreciated
  19. they look different ,and on the + you get 2 lights instead of 1, night light setting and 3 other light settings plus a socket for night light hangers and on the receiver you get extra alarm slots up to 6 and a vibrate function and anti theft function
  20. thats well out of order, well done for reporting it. have the swan protection been down to lake yet? hope who done it gets found out
  21. thanks lads I will get a set ordered 2moz, need to slot 1 onto my alarms near the reed switches
  22. the Lake is a very mature 180 acre estate lake, depths vary around the lake about 20 foot deepest i think, not 100% tho because levels do change most fishing is done from 100 yards min further you can get out the better, i think there around 2000 fish all pristine condition its a big 30-40lb water with lots of 50s and go to 70lb, there are crayfish present from time to time sometimes there are loads somtimes not but mesh or shrink cures this, there are no bream or silvers or chad in there all been removed, lake is stunning surrounded by forest on all banks there is a proper old chateau there o
