Well, 2nd trip on new lake. Had one on boilie, one on solid bag with liquids and pellets. One on particles, guess which went! Particle! Typical! Can't show pic as them the rules!

Yonny,Greekskii,  yes I totally agree with what you say. But after speaking again to a couple of regulars who have not caught in their last 4 trips on boilie approach. They are fed twice a week on pellet n maize. It's what they're used to a consider it a safe feed I guess?
Put some more of my concoction in tonight ready for a day sesh Saturday.
    We shall see...

The whole physics of the rig dictates it wont slide unless pressure is put on hook point. So casting is no problem

Stick to what you're confident with. Since I've been fishing loads of rigs came into fashion, chod, multi rig, now Ronnie rig. Keep it simple and tangle free and you've got as much chance as the next guy

I pierce them buddy. I've been using them for 3 or 4 years and never had an issue. As long as you use a fine baiting needle and take your time you'll be ok.
You now have the crushed cork hookbaits available. I actually prefer them because they're as buoyant as a cork ball, they can be trimmed, you don't have to worry about birdlife, there's more basemix to hold the liquid cure..... really good baits.

Yeah, they're pricey but they're worth it.
It's not the rolling that costs. It's the curing process.
He might as well have. It's a mental process they go through.
    I've used:
S2 - As an all-rounder this is probs one of the best hookbaits money can buy. Works all year.
F1 - Brilliant in winter/early spring. A bit different to anything else you've tried.
GLMF - Awesome dark spicy hookbaits. Best used over bait I've found.
I've used the cork balls and the crushed cork options. Both awesome but I prefer the crushed cork - more versatile.
They're not the kind of hookbaits you use on overstocked puddles/commercial lakes, it would cost you a fortune. For tricky lakes when you need something that little bit special to compete, these are the nuts. I completely understand those that aint prepared to pay that kind of money, it's fair play. I've caught a lot of big fish on these which justifies it for me.
