Another one where I come from.

Par-boil a bucket of potatoes neatly cubed to size, drain and add a LITTLE salt and a good measure of Maggi - under 2 Euros the lot!

When lunch-time comes, fry-up the bacon, sausages, whatever and saute some of the spuds - delicious!

Patatas Pescador. Pommes Frites au Peche. Angler's Spuds.

Sometimes the carp eat them as well.
