Got myself a drennan  extendable landing net pole, retains stiffness even when fully extended (no pun there lol) , a must have in my opinion if ever a fish is snagged on your other rods or a weed bed and they always seem a foot further out than you can reach.  Not anymore.

Yes mate. I've got the Fox one at the moment but it's got stuck at full extension and just fits in the van and is a nightmare on the barrow haha. The drennan one seems far better.

It will never break very thick heavy duty carbon .... one thing  to watch for is over tightening the lock function / flange on the bottom of the inner section it  can get stuck open , if it does you can access it all from the bottom cap push it out & wide it back in a bit .

Over a mile of glorious bankside, 2 obvioys bivvy swims a bit overgrown & several stalking spots, again a bit overgrown. Its like being a kid again exploring almost undisturbed bank. The weirs are a bonus feature, river like & opening out to a good 120 yards wide. Did a bit of stalking had a beautiful 10 lb common the other day, on crusty bread.

Good luck and have fun.

Ordered the Gemini A.R.C system. New lead system for better distance & presentation. Review on carpology if anyone wants a look.

Let me know what you think of them please Ghost hunter!! I've been looking at them, very interesting, but not yet convinced they're not a waste of time lol.....

Have a look at the Avon Skin So Soft dry oil spray....... Sounds poncey, but it's cheap and brilliant for deterring all sorts of bugs.

IMO , the biggest load of stinky winky going , always has been always will be , anything with DEET in it is what you need .

No true buddy. The thing with mozzie repellents is different options work for different people. I've used all of them and the Avon works best for me. The one that works least for me is Incognito which is the most advanced repellent available - a lot of guys swear by it. Basically you need to find one that works for you and stick with it.

FYI - Deet is terrible for your skin mate. You'll probably guess that when it dyes the colour out of the sleeves and neck of your clothes... I stopped using it when I saw that, horrible stuff IMO...
