But they did me a service fishing locked up and close in a couple of times... And like I mentioned, I think it was partly the age of the rods as to why the varnish was lifted... It would also depend a little bit as to how slim your rod butts are... Donnygooner

Actually, that's a quality I'd look for when snag fishing, to keep the rod from slipping whatsoever on a take, as it seems you found with them. Of course, wouldn't want them damaging the rods, maybe possible to modify them? Not so much as to lose the benefit during snag fishing, but where they won't cause damage, and not really difficult to get your rod out of them? smufter 2,228
Just had to buy a new landing net. Since the Cottage went over to supplying their own nets and mats some time ago, I'd tucked my old one away safely. So safely, that I can't find it.....😱😱😱 Fishing a different lake next week which doesn't provide, so had to bite the bullet. Went for a Saber Carbon jobbie. Hope it's quality is as good as the Saber rod holdall I have. £48.00 off the bayski. Edited September 6, 2018 by smufter

Not bright atal. I did read they were slightly dimmer than other colours but they were barely visible atal 👎🏻 My bad. I was, of course, referring to the LED colours on alarms, not isotopes. Continuation of discussions from another thread got me confused....😫😫😫 Green isotopes are indeed the brightest you can get, and yes.... I have them in my bobbins. "Ice blue" run them second and you're right....... red are pony. These are brilliant at night........... Edited September 8, 2018 by smufter

I've tried, the Missus had a go. Jeez I'd hate to have to set this up in a hurry! Hopefully it will become easier after it's been used a few times, but it's tricky I can tell you 😱😱😱 Edited September 9, 2018 by smufter spr1985

Dave Hedgehog 312
Probably a bit boring but my latest purchase was hooks. Some people are addicted to buying green luggage, some people have a strange desire for pots of pop ups, my obsession is hooks. Been a long term mugga fan and now using these... Be warned - you'll need to protect the points with something as they'll rust/lost their points within 12 hours otherwise. Try rubbing candle wax up and down the point and then licking it quickly with a lighter (don't hold the lighter to the point). Works really well.
