So how will you guys approach this lake on a one off, Phil is approaching it in the right manner assuming two seasons to suss it, i reckon three, for a big pit its a normal appraisal of a venue. You are faced with 60 acres of pure silkweed and insect life at the time of the year that you are going to fish it. So what are you going to do, Zigs, bags, helicopter rigs, method helicopter, semi bouyancy, with what Phil says about the undertow, that is out, combies and bags, or paternoster with foam, that would be my preferred method along with zigs and and riser pellets bagged around the lead, what are you going to do.

Cast out and open a beer.

I'll know which approach I will be using once I get there. Even then, that may change during the session!

We have had a couple of socials there and done just that. Not produced many fish that way. Hence why we have not got allocated swims this time. I want a horseshoe fish in my library as I know others do also.

Exactly right Keith, we have been there done that and this time I think we need to show the place the respect it deserves and try and capture one of those pristine scaly beauts

I never fished the river, let alone caught anything from it! The lure of cricket(more so the going out in town afterwards) outweighed the anguish of blanking so I decided to knock it on the head. Plus I always feel uneasy fishing near people and the nature of that lake didn't really help.

I'll be honest and say that I spent more time sitting up trees watching the fish than fishing for them anyway.

Lovely place though and everyone I met there made it more than enjoyable.
