10lb is a good fish :D

And right now a 10lb carp would do me lovely.

 

I sometimes think too many anglers go for too big a fish too quickly, without learning about what they are fishing for.

hey CM, i didnt say that my pb ghost was small :o

without going back and looking i think it was circa 20lb, just under :wink:

I believe my largest ghostie is 20lb +

 

Never that keen on catching ghosties or koi myself to be honest :wink:

As above, ruddy goldfish.

 

to be honest old buddy Ghosties are just a variation of the Koi strain and they themselves are just like leneys, leathers, galician and royals a variation of the original prehistoric strain.

oh and just a little enlightenment for those of you that thing that dave lane gave his name to the leney strain, they were actually bred by a fish farmer called Donald Leney in the 1920s so, sorry mr lane :lol:

in my limited experience ghosties give you a great run for your money , they seem to give a much more spirited (no pun intended ) fight for their size
