I'm quite happy to look at booking something up... maybe the "Back Lake" at East Delphs for a 48 hour session??

I can make some provisional inquiries for 2020, say May?? Decent amount of daylight hours, milder temps and should get them on the lead up to spawning???

Looking at their current prices it looks like it would work out at just under £50.00 each if we got six of us?

BBQ on site or the choice of takeaway food delivered to the lake.

As I say, I don't mind making initial contact.

I think your right guys .... I was a syndi member the last time so obviously didn't have to pay . The Big one I arranged on there years ago we booked winter bay so it was all included in the price , which I paid upfront.  The last time we did one there we decided it would be better not to book pegs so we could move about & choose where you wanted to fish.  With only limited numbers I should think we will need a permit before we can fish .

Bare in mind only David & I caught last time both after moving !

Yes mate ... my better half made the trophy for us back in 2012 , it's got a good few names on it now from various socials up & down the country & abroad .  Currently up in Telford with my mate who came with me last week , he won last year in France for the biggest fish of the week .

The trophy spent quite some time in my son's possession. Biggest fish at one of the many socials he and I have attended over the years. We'd both be up for a social, pretty much anywhere.

We're looking at Horseshoe, just need an idea of date? Autumn?

Closures I've posted on previous page.

We didn't,  mate. Miles waived it because we were already paying a lot of money into their coffers. Another reason was the political infighting within the Carp Society and new memberships were being discouraged.

Horseshoe would be fine by me. I like the place even if the size of it is a bit daunting. It's an hour and a half from home so fairly handy.

Can't do June as I'm in France, can't do 24th July, it's a bit of a special birthday...….Any other time is great!

Ian.

I got so close to the social at horseshoe and then life got in the way.

Ive had a good beer tonight and dont mean to come over all soppy and [censored] but i was gutted i couldnt make the last one and would love to attend the next.

Most of the blokes on this site come across as proper top blokes and would be good to have a few beers with you all.

Dont know if youve noticed but i love everyone when ive had a beer😘

Had this response from Delph Lakes (just in case)....

"Hi Robert
It's possible to book now.  A 50% deposit would secure the date(s), when the 2020 calendar is uploaded on the website your booking would automatically be on there.  At this stage there are no bookings in May 2020.
Regards,
James Mackay"

Well I said at the start as long as no one ends up out of pocket, I'm happy. 😊

Horseshoe looks ideal. If you could enquire about a small group that would be great andy52!

Imo, autumn time will be good. Mid September?? 48 Friday /Saturday??
