elmoputney 3,293
Hi guys thought it might be a good idea to have a thread to share any good you tube vids you have seen, maybe write a little blurb to go with it to introduce it would be a nice touch Ive really enjoyed watching Carl and Alex's adventures and this one is pretty good as well, if you haven't watched these guys before they have done some excellent videos, and some real off the wall different things to the norm

Anglers that inspire me. Anglers that have, in the past, stopped at nothing to achieve what they wanted. And their achievements are very, very special indeed. elmoputney

snowmanstevo 1,616
I’ll not post all the links but if you can get the Sticky ones from a few weeks ago ( I think there’s around 5 of them) and the tunnel by God (Mr Hearn) they should sort you out for a few hours...... amazing vids and if anyone is after any inspiration look no further 😬😎🎣 elmoputney, finchey, Highy and 1 other 2 1

elmoputney 3,293
I've enjoyed watching Scott Lloyd's vlogs recently, the whole series are worth a peep, there are some good little lessons in there and he works hard at his angling and he catches some decent fish, well worth a watch imo Edited June 20, 2019 by elmoputney

Oz Holness gave a talk about the Burghfield Common at a social club a couple of miles from where I live, last year. Accompanied by a slide show I found it a very interesting presentation and was properly impressed by the man's sheer determination. Ian. elmoputney 3,293
I had a little time on my hands today so I made up 4 of these rigs, have to say I quite like them tbh, looks a good rig for all occasions

elmoputney 3,293
Do you use an uncoated braid for them Highy or just a coated braid ?

All my rigs i use ESP Tungsten Loaded Braid but peel the last inch or so...there maybe about 5/6 mm from the hook eye showing... elmoputney
Highy 2,105
Similar to these...but a bait screw...and bottom bait rig has a stripped hair to with a piece of shrink tube down the hook shank. elmoputney
elmoputney 3,293
So you are just using the loaded braid In place of the fluorocarbon boom? I may be misunderstanding you though One of the reasons I quite liked it was the fluorocarbon makes it look very difficult to see in water,
elmoputney 3,293
That's they way I have I have gone with it fluorocarbon with totally stripped braid, not sure how it will perform but I can try it
Highy 2,105
Top Rig - is my take on Hinge Stiff Rig x about 6 made up...Middle Rig - is my Ronnie rig x about 5 made up...Bottom Rig - Bottom Bait rig x about 15 made up. All put to a quick link on a lead clip system.... Thats basically it for rigs i use really...nothing else. Edited June 27, 2019 by Highy elmoputney
elmoputney 3,293
Probably a good idea to keep it simple, I think I've tried so many rigs lately that I am unsure which I prefer Still with a runs water to test them on hopefully I can find out and make some solid fact based decisions
Its-grim-up-north 468
Got to admire Simon Crow for his sheer dedication. Alone for eleven days on a boat with no service... running six miles for supplies. Extreme angling! Edited July 5, 2019 by Its-grim-up-north elmoputney
