ouchthathurt 734
Just wondering what everyone’s preference is for a hooklink material? Going though my tackle box, I’ve got 20+ different spools, fluro, braids, coated braids etc... I seem to flit from one to the other at times, yet I always revert back to esp striptease coated braid. It’s thin, versatile and I’ve got so much confidence in it. What’s your go to hooklink material?

elmoputney 3,710
PB jelly wire is the one I seem to go back to it's lovely to use, and I'm getting into Gardner trick link at the moment, I've tied up a few different rigs up this week, just to do something to chill out 😳 That being said I do own and will use a few others 😁 ESP tungsten loaded stiff and semi stiff (prefer semi stiff I think) Mouth trap Bank tackle semi stiff coated, not a bad braid tbh very usable and reasonably priced I would really like to find a really nice uncoated braid though still? 😂 ESP sink link was good, bank tackle kevlar one is OK, but a real nice soft naturally acting braid would be nice for my bags and bag rigs (which I tweaked last night with a different hook pattern 👀😬😀) yonny
Choprider 110
in my bag are as follows mouth trap n trap rig marole hydralink.. various mono’s although sometimes I would put more time in to locating fish than trying the latest in fashion hook lengths.

ouchthathurt 734
I am a massive fan of the esp tungsten loaded, I moved onto that when the striptease proved hard to get hold of. yonny and jh92

Carpbell_ll 664
The ESP stuff is OK used to use their sink link, the coating on the tungsten is a bit tricky as in it is easily ruined should use a striping tool teeth and thumb nail isn't the best.

Tungsten loaded needs mucho lubrication, that seems to stop it splitting, l got a little Gardner stripping tool the other week makes life so much easier 👍 Sink link is a nice uncoated braid, I only stopped using it because I ran out 😂 Its-grim-up-north, Carpmaster and Carpbell_ll
