PB'S.. ALL SPECIES.

Recommended Posts

May I just chip-in with my two penn'orth...

Yes, there are some impressive, big fish listed here from some very experienced and dedicated anglers. What is a little disappointing for me is that some younger and perhaps less experience anglers seem to think that their own PB's are "not very good" or "not as big as that..." when compared to some of the monsters that are recorded here.

EVERY PB is just as valid as the next. Don't be discouraged just because you think your fish is not a 30, 40 or whatever. Be proud of that first double or twenty that you have caught. If the biggest fish that you have landed is an 8lb common, so what? - that is still an achievement worth celebrating in my book.

It doesn't matter that you've only been fishing a year or you don't have all the expensive tackle and bait. What matters is that you enjoy your fishing and celebrate the "milestones" like a PB, first 20, first carp off the top, etc.

Personally, I would whole heartedly congratulate anybody who catches his target fish regardless of it's size.

So come on guys, tell us about your proudest angling moments and we will all share in your success. A single figure fish landed by a novice is just as meritorious as a 40 landed by someone who has been fishing for decades, in my opinion.

Congratulations and well done to ALL who have posted on this thread!

Although my pb is the 29.7 mirror, my proudest moment was the 18lb mirror.

I caught that on 3lb line on a float rod with a size 16 hook on Gawsworth Fisheries, much more satisfying than my pb which was caught in a quite heavily stocked place.

So it just goes to show, the bigger ones are not always the most memorable.

Tight lines :D

I would suggest your home and foreign pbs are different mate

also a carp is a carp, mirrors are not a seperate species to commons mate, they are both ''King Carp''

What's your beef? Lol

Have you got nothing better to do other than criticise other people's posts? Sad little man. 😂
